Private Events
Located in the heart of Ballard, Waystone is a gaming club and bar that exudes nostalgia and a tasteful tinge of the strange. Etched glassware and art deco inspired details invite you into an elegantly timeless space. Our lighting and layout can all be adjusted to fit the atmosphere of your event. Waystone’s tables are versatile, able to accommodate dice rolling or dining. If you’re looking to host a memorable gaming meetup, off-kilter reception, birthday bash, holiday party, or supervillain convention, you’ve found the right place.
Size
850 square feet
Our space includes the main lounge and a slightly raised wooden stage. We can also convert part of the space into a separate, smaller conference room (sliding glass doors).

Parking + Accessibility
Free, dedicated parking is reserved for guests every day after 5pm. Parking is located behind our building and can be accessed via 17th Ave NW. Additional paid parking is available next door adjacent to The Old Pequliar. Street parking is free after 8pm.
Our restroom door is 27 inches wide (the ADA recommends a minimum of 32 inches for door openings). Waystone’s entrance and main floor are wheelchair accessible.
Decor + Music
We put a lot of thought into the atmosphere at Waystone and hope you love it too! In addition to our current decor, guests may bring centerpieces, floral arrangements, weighted balloons, projector screens, character cuts outs, and more to help set the scene! There are several electrical outlets on each wall for your use. Guests are not permitted to use nails, staples, or any other abrasive methods when decorating the space. We also do not allow the use of glitter or confetti (bubbles and flameless candles are allowed!). We ask all guests to please remove their decorations at the end of the rental.
Waystone’s built-in wireless speaker system is ready to play your music! Everything is already set up to work with Spotify and other streaming services on our high speed Wi-Fi.
Food
We are happy to work with the caterer of your choice! If you plan to have your event catered, please provide their contact information during booking. Guests may also bring their own food. Please note that Waystone does not have a kitchen, and does not have cutlery, dishware, serving ware, or condiments.
We have two small refrigerators and a freezer that may accommodate a small cake or other dessert. One refrigerator is 11” wide, 13” long, and 18” high. The smaller refrigerator is 15” wide, 15” long, and 5” high. Our freezer is 8” wide, 11” long, and 12” high.
Drink Packages
OPTION ONE (21+ only) Waystone staff will serve your guests beer and wine using our license. In addition to offerings from Ballard’s incredible local breweries, we also have sherry, port, and champagne based cocktails and mocktails. You may have your guests purchase their drinks individually during the event, or set a maximum amount for covered drinks. This option has a $100 drink minimum and drink service will end before 2:00am.
OPTION TWO (All Ages) Guests obtain a $10 banquet permit here for the date of their event. This allows guests to purchase their own alcohol, including hard liquors, and any other beverages they would like at the event. Our bartender will use whatever you purchase to make and serve these drinks to your guests at a rate of $30/hour. There is NO drink minimum for this option and drink service will end before 2:00am. We ask that you deliver these items to Waystone 48-24 hours prior to the start of your rental period.
OPTION THREE (All Ages, No Alcohol) We will work with guests to provide a selection of non alcoholic beverages for their event, including but not limited to craft NA cocktails, soda, hot chocolate, juice, caffeinated teas, and Herkimer coffee.

Hourly Rental Cost
Hourly Rate $150 / hour
The minimum rental time is three hours.
Cleaning Fee
All rentals include a $50 nonrefundable cleaning fee so you can relax and enjoy your event! No need to sweep, mop, or wipe anything down. We only ask trash and recyclable items are placed in their respective bins and anything you brought into the space leaves with you.
