About Us

Waystone is a club dedicated to building a fun, welcoming, and inclusive space for Warhammer and other miniatures games. It started as an idea between friends who wanted to see the experience of playing and connecting over games put front and center, rather than shoulder-to-shoulder in the back of a retail space.

Waystone’s members can take advantage of everything the club has to offer, but anyone can enjoy a game as a guest, or just stop in for a drink. We love introducing new folks to the hobby, and we’re looking to widen the boundaries of traditional gaming communities by striving to create belonging for anyone regardless of skill level, gender, age, race, sexual orientation, class, body size, disability, or religion.

See our Kickstarter video for more about the vision behind the space.

What We Play

Waystone was made to be the ideal place to play Warhammer: 40,000—from the diverse array of terrain, all the way down to the design of our tables. We also have a vibrant and friendly community of Kill Team players that meets on Tuesdays to learn, improve, and engage in fluffy skirmishes, as well as growing scenes for The Horus Heresy, Battletech, Age of Sigmar, Warcry, and Necromunda.

Be Good to Each Other

We believe everyone should be able to take joy in hobbying, playing, and making new connections through minis games. We ask all members and guests to empathetically consider how their words and actions contribute to the atmosphere of belonging we are constantly striving to create.

We’re committed to preventing harassment of any form. This includes demeaning or sexual language and imagery, non-consensual photography, and physical contact without consent.

Finally, we’re always looking for ways that our collective power can be leveraged for good, both inside and outside of Waystone’s walls. In a little over one year, our community has already raised around three thousand dollars for organizations like The Trevor Project, Planned Parenthood, The Ballard Food Bank, and in-house initiatives like our reduced-cost membership policy.
