Horus Heresy Nested Narrative Event

  • Waystone Wargaming Speakeasy 1736 Northwest Market Street Seattle, WA, 98107 United States (map)

A ten-person narrative event for Warhammer Horus Heresy with awards and prizes!

  • Admission to this event is $30! Waystone members will receive priority registration.

  • Doors open at 10:00am, Dice at 10:30am.

  • This event is going to be three nested games. This means that each game must have the same units as the previous game. As such, you'll have to really think about your Force Organization! If you bring six Troops in your first game, you won't be able to add more troops later on.

  • The first game will be 1000 points, the second game will be 1750 points, and the third game will be 2500 points.

  • After the first and second games, a unit on each side will be determined to be a Conquering Unit and another unit from each side will be a Vanquished Unit. What exactly this means will be made clear during the event itself, but just know that some units will suffer scars from previous games and others will march into battle lauding their victories.

  • There is a painting requirement for this event: Armies must be painted to a battle-ready standard.

  • If you have any questions as far as unit proxies, rules discrepancies, house rules, etc., do not hesitate to contact Stefan.

  • Scoring will be done in the Best Coast Pairings app.

  • Additionally, each player will be given a form at the beginning of the event. Throughout the day, each player will be asked to mark down their top three choices in two categories: Friendliest Player and Best Painted. At the end of the event, a prize will be given to the Best General (decided through BCP scoring), the Friendliest Player, and the Best Painted!

  • All datasheets from Legacies of the Age of Darkness and Exemplary Battles are permitted.

  • If asked, a player must produce a copy of their list. This can either be printed out or digital, but if an issue arises then current GW publication rules and points values will take precedence (i.e., if BattleScribe says one thing and an official GW FAQ says another, the GW source will be followed).

  • Each game round will be 3 hours. When the round is called, dice are down.

  • Free coffee!
